His students past or present, from the world of martial arts, almost reads like a Who's Who list. These include JKD's Bob Breen, Bob Sykes who is a pioneer of the British Kickboxing scene as well as being Editor in Chief of Martial Arts Illustrated, Keysi Fighting Methods Chief Instructors Justo Dieguez & Andy Norman who both worked on the ‘Batman Begins' movie, Buster Reeves, one time winner of the Gladiators and now a top stuntman based in Hollywood, Jeff Imada who without doubt is Hollywood's number one fight and stunt choreographer with credits such as Bourne Supremacy, Collateral, and Daredevil to name but a few.

British actor Ross Kemp (Eastenders, Ultimate Force), who along with Hollywood superstar Wesley Snipes endorsed Steve's highly acclaimed Advanced Combat DVD, are keen participants in the art of Walisongo Silat. Steve also regularly travels to Los Angeles where he conducts regular seminars at both the latter two students schools, as well as giving seminars up and down the U.K, and also Europe-wide.
