Gordon Lawson Shihan 6 th Dan President of the British Zen Judo Family Association teaches Judo as a martial art rather than as a sport. Zen Judo is powerful and effective illustrated by the fact that the bodyguard to the president of Spain practices it. Gordon said on the streets, there are no rules, weight categories or the same old people to compete against. In the streets, 75% of fights end up on the ground. Most martial arts do not train in groundwork. So the use of fancy kicks can make the kicker vulnerable and unstable. Zen Judo is fast and flowing whether you are upright or on the ground. |
